The best way to find a pastoral counselor in your area is to use the find-a-counselor option at www.aapc.org. Alphabetical and a geographical listings of AAPC members are available, as well as their contact information, certifications, and denominational endorsement. Many of them have provided additional information about the types of services they provide, their specialities, and languages they speak. Many Pastoral Counseling Centers have a sliding fee scale based on income or another plan based on ability to pay. Psychotherapy may be partly covered by health insurance.
